4 Axis on Solid
Presentation
This command enables to create profiles for 4 axis machining by clicking the faces of the solid. Click on starting and ending faces and then the starting point. A new entity ‘double-profile’ is created, which will be recognized later when creating the threading point |
To use this function
Click on the starting face. An arrow shows the direction of machining. You can click the arrow to invert the direction.
Click on the ending face; if you click the same face, the profile will be closed. A pre-visualization of the profile is displayed, where you can see the synchro points between the high and low profiles.
You can change the start/end faces of the profile: [1]Automatic selection: if you click this icon, GO2cam selects the best face for the starting face. [2]Manual selection: you can click any face of the solid profile. You can also move the start and/or end point: simply click the green element and move it along the face. Drop it on the right position.
Validate with [4] or cancel with [3]. When you validate, the profile is created. In this case, we create a new type of entity: a 'double-profile'.
Notes:
the double-profile will be automatically recognized by Automatic Threading Point,
later, you can edit and modify the profile with contextual popup (right-click on the profile).
the selection of machining is much easier: only one click on the double-profile!
