Start and Final Overlengths
Cycles: All Manual Cycles
Definition
These commands allow you define overlengths for the input and the output of the tool in the material. As from V6.11, the overlengths take into consideration the shape of the profile.
Start overlength (1) | |
A positive value extends the toolpath in tangency of the last element of the profile and a negative value shortens it. If the last element is an arc, the overlength is tangent to that arc. This is generally used when the contouring begins on an outside corner. |
Final overlength (2) | |
Like for Start overlength, Final overlength generates the toolpath tangent to the first element. |
