Cycle: Roughing/Reworking - Shape, Cast cycles, Stock cycles

Definition

Creation of 3D loops in the toolpath to enable the coolant fluid to go beyond the tool. This is useful in case of Hard materials machining.

Settings

  • Loop Radius must be defined.

  • Distance between loops is defined as a maximum distance. It means that the more the tool goes down in the material, the more critical are the conditions: here apply a shorter distance between the loops. An automatic coefficient is calculated according to the Z machining value. As illustrated in the right, loops are not applied on the very first step.

  • Decomposition of Arcs must be set to 'Yes'.

The calculation of the loops is determined and complete by several other parameters: Z machining depths, Z step, Overlap.
