Frontal Leadin: avoids the tool to lead in vertically, hence limiting the insert wear. The tool entry is from the front.

Leadin Distance: this value is the vertical distance between the stock and the start of the frontal pass also contributing to limiting the tool wear.

Finishing Stock Allowance

Leaves a stock allowance to be reworked by the finishing pass.

In the case where there is a taper due to the insert shape on a Frontal leadin, a Finishing stock allowance can be input to solve this issue. Only the last toolpath is computed to machine the face completely vertical.
