Input Altitude

Cycle: Contouring

The Input altitude parameter consists of four options:

Standard: top Z and bottom Z correspond to the tool pilot point.

On bottom of shape: to machine profiles with a Z evolution on the bottom of the shape. Below is a video showing an example of machining a ramp using this option.

Cavity: for Side Face Mill Cutter and Woodruff, the machining is strictly done between the two altitudes by respecting pilot points and tool height.

On tool top: for Side Face Mill Cutter and Woodruff, the machining is done according to the top pilot point.
