Definition
The Limitation Area parameter in GO2cam defines how the machining cycle interacts with the limitation area set to the workpiece. It can be applied in four modes, each controlling the toolpath differently.
![]() | On | Enables the machining cycle to extend directly to the Limitation Area, with the toolpath stopping exactly at the boundary. Notice that the illustrated toolpath, highlighted in purple, is up to the boundary. | ![]() |
![]() | Inside | Enables the machining cycle to remain within the Limitation Area, stopping before the boundary to avoid contact with the edge. Notice that the illustrated toolpath, highlighted in purple, is limited within the boundary. | ![]() |
![]() | Parting Line | Enables the machining cycle to extend beyond the Limitation Area, with the toolpath positioned outside the boundary while machining around it, without cutting into the boundary itself. Notice that the illustrated toolpath, highlighted in purple, extend beyond the boundary. | ![]() |
![]() | Offset | Enables the machining cycle to follow a distance relative to the Limitation Area. The user must input a value: zero places the toolpath on the Limitation Area, a positive value shifts it outside as in Parting Line, and a negative value shifts it inside as in Inside. Notice that the toolpath, highlighted in purple, extend beyond the boundary to an arbitrary distance, but can be also adjusted accordingly. | ![]() |
