This function allows the management of the toolpath for pocket roughing cycles, whether to start from the edge of the profile or at the center. The three methods available are:
End by the sides |
Machining starts from the inside and moves towards the edge of the profile/pocket. |
Start by the sides |
Machining starts from the edge of the profile/pocket and moves towards the inside. |
Snail |
Machining start from the inside moving to the edge in a spiral pattern. This minimizes tool retracts. The video below showing the application of the snail method. |
