The Mill cutter can be:

• a Side and Face Mill Cutter, used in axial plane (Reference plane for instance)

• a Flat end mill, used in a radial plane. The plunge of tool is done while the spindle makes a C rotation of 360°. Useful to cut a tube stock for example.
