Re-chucking

Re-chucking operation enables to push the bar with the sliding headstock to re-chuck the next workpiece.

This is a MTE operation available in the menu of same name.

It is the same behaviour as the Bar puller except that here, it is not the sub spindle pulling the bar.

This action enables to work on a second part of the workpiece on the side of sliding headstock, because the travel is too small to machine everything at once (workpiece longer than the travel of sliding headstock).

  • The bar is held by the spindle, which does not move, and the sliding headstock clamp is open.

Opening of Clamp

  • Then it repositioned itself on the bar by moving further back.
