Stop Length - Stop Number

Cycles: Straight Cut, Taper Cutting

Definition

These parameters enable the definition of a stop point on the profile as a safety measure to prevent any uncontrolled workpiece fall. The stop is generally defined on the final entity of the profile.

The Stop length defines the placement of the stop relative to the final entity on the profile. If the stop length is greater than the length of the final entity, the stop point is set on the entity or entities before. A visual indication of the stop is generated on the profile that can be seen as a red cross.

The Stop Number is called in the NC code and linked to the machine being used, for instance, if the stop number is 0, the code called is M00, which is generally the code to stop the program. However, this may vary from machine to machine.
