Definition
These parameters enable to choose other machining planes without changing the geometry.
G17, G18, G19 planes
Left-Click on the arrow button and choose between:
Z+ (G17)
Y+ (G18+)
X+ (G19+)
X- (G19-)
Y- (G18-)
The choice is taken into account in the ISO blocks.
Understanding the Planes:
G17 ( Z+ Plane): This is the most common plane selection and is often the default setting. It defines the working plane where the X and Y axes determine the toolpath. Imagine a flat surface where the machine moves the cutting tool across the length (X) and width (Y).
G18 (Y+ Plane): This code selects the XZ plane. Here, the toolpath is defined by the X and Z axes. In simpler terms, the tool moves along the length (X) and depth (Z) of the material.
G19 (X+ Plane): This code defines the YZ plane. The Y and Z axes determine the tool movement. Imagine the tool moving along the width (Y) and depth (Z) of the workpiece.
C rotation
A machine file has to be loaded else the command will not be visible in the dialog bar.
You can force the position of a plateau with a rotation around the C axis.
Left-Click on the check box to access the angle field,
Type in the angle value, it is taken into account in the ISO blocks.
