Import Repairing

 | When you import a file from a CAD system, some problems in the solid model can occur. |
The first action is to check the validity of the solid with the function of same name. If the solid is correct, then you can go on to next action, which is the positioning of the part.
If there are error messages about the solid model, four different functions are available to repair the solid model. Our main advise is to make some attempts and use the functions one after another.
Solid Simplification
 | Definition: automatic simplification of the model, transformation of B-spline surfaces in analytics. This function has to be used especially in the case of bad calculations of cylinders and fillets. Simply define the value of tolerance and click the solid to simplify. |
Reparation and Simplification
 | Definition: attempts to fix the geometry of the model and to build again the solid. Simply define the value of tolerance and click the solid to repair. |
Geometrical and Topological Cleaning
 | Definition: correction of the topology of the solid model. Simply define the value of tolerance and click the solid to clean. |  |
Inversion of Faces Direction
 | Definition: by nature, all the solid faces have a given direction. In some rare situations, this direction is not correct after importing from external CAD software. Generally, this happens to the hole set of faces of a solid. It is The command enables to invert the direction of all faces of a solid, by a simple click on it. |
