CAD Import in GO2cam

• The files extensions can be native (direct from CAD systems) or through standard exchange format files. You can consult the full list of available interfaces here: List of CAD Interfaces

• Importing CAD files is done thanks to 2 commands:

  • Automatic Solid Import: reading 3D files only, with automatic process for positioning, creation of stock and origin definition.

  • Import : reading 2D and 3D files, without any other automatic action.

• The import of CAD files is a process including the use of several commands one after another:

  • Process for 2D Import

  • Process for 3D Import

• Specific features enable to get more information from CAD systems:

  • Holes features can be read directly with some CAD interfaces (SolidWorks, Creo, NX, CatiaV5 and SpaceClaim).

  • PMI (Product Manufacturing Information) can be read with some CAD interfaces.

  • dataGO: optional module that enables the associativity with main CAD softwares of the market
