Process for 2D Import
Presentation
Once the CAD model is imported in GO2cam, many commands enable to position and cleanup or repair the file if necessary. For this, we have gathered, some specific commands in 2 submenus:

Basic Rules for the treatment
The treatment of the part depends a lot on the part itself: the type of format file, the complexity of the part, the use of layers and filters or not, the machining to program etc.
However, most of the models can be treated following the next stages:
Icon | Name | Explanation | |
Show All (Ctrl + R) | Always start by applying Ctrl-R to cancel all filters and hiding commands.
Positioning | Position the part with the move command (menu Edit) or Part Positioning in the Import Cleaning menu
To sort, hide and maybe delete the useless elements,
Apply to ensure the correct continuity between the elements, and also :
| |||
To check that geometric profiles are correct.
Segment | In some rare cases, you need to end the cleaning manually by using design commands as Segment etc. those commands are located in the menus Drawing and Finish Drawing.
Ability to build a 3D geometry by moving 2D views. |
When you read a DXF/DWG file, you can force the display of extremities of elements, exactly as it was possible before in CAD import environment.
The option is available in Tools / Options / Display.
