Geometry Continuity

Presentation

Definition according to a chosen tolerance, ability to ensure the continuity on a whole profile or between geometric elements.

Several treatment possibilities are given :

  • Decomposition of polygons into segments is advised to make easier the cleanup of the geometry.

  • Curves in segments and arcs enables the transformation of curves into segments and arcs elements relative to the tolerance chosen. It is necessary for the machining of these shapes.

  • the button Project/Discontinuity enables to do a projection of the elements on the plane before the treatment of continuity, it is advised to choose this option.

▶️ You can watch a video here showing the wireframe projection on a plane:

  • Click on the button to accede to the other option Superposition only which only enables the continuity treatment.

To generate a geometry continuity

  1. Fill the parameters in the dialogue bar

  2. Select the elements (Enter key to select all the elements, selection box or clicking the elements directly)

  3. Validate the selection with a right click and Confirm selection
