This function, also called healing, is an set of operations that ensure the good import of a solid geometry. |
In GO2cam, a solid is correct when:

1 face = 1 surface,
-
the frontier curve between 2 faces is 1 only edge (co-edge),
-
a face has a direction.
It is greatly advised to use this function each time a solid is imported, no matter the format file and the original CAD software.
The solid reparation is made in three steps:

simplification of surfaces: GO2cam tries to convert vertex surfaces into analytic surfaces to make easier all the calculation,
-
re-construction of topology: recognition of the co-edges,
-
re-construction of the geometry: the solid is re-constructed.
It is possible to make manual settings but it is advised to choose automatic settings.
