Creation of sub-programs - SPG

Presentation

Definition: creation of sub-programs treated by the post-processor.

Two functions are necessary :

Sub-program tag to define the cycles to repeat

Sub-program call to call back a pre-defined sub-program

To create a sub-program

Right-click on the line Machining in the machining tree

Click on SPG tag

  • Enter the sub-program number in the dialog bar.

  • In the machining tree, click on the first cycle included in the sub-program (ex : Roughing Ope)

  • In the machining tree, click on the last cycle included in the sub-program (ex : Finishing Ope)

  • the sub-program is created, flags are displayed in the tree.

To call a sub-program

a. Right-click on the line Machining in the machining tree

b. Click on SPG call

  • Fill the parameters of the dialog bar : the number of the sub-program called, the number of repeats, the type of copy and the corresponding values.

Ex : for a translation, give the coordinates of the translation vector or click the button 'Vector' and show a segment.

  • In the Machining Tree, click on the cycle from which the sub-program begins. The operation SPG Call is created in the tree.

The toolpath repeated are displayed on the screen.

You can choose to display them or not : select Tools \ Options \ Machining, and uncheck the box 'Subprogram trace'
