Zig Zag

Machining with a zigzag toolpath.

Key Points

  • The Zigzag cycle offers 2 types of toolpaths:

    • S type (A on the image)

    • Z type (B)

  • You can define a retract distance that will be applied before each vertical plunge of the toolpath.

  • You have the option to reduce the feedrate of tool when it comes close to the groove walls. We define the feedrate reduction distance and the reduction coefficient.
