Machining with a zigzag toolpath.

Key Points

  • The Zigzag cycle offers two types of toolpaths: S type (A in the image) and Z type (B).

  • A retract distance can be defined to be applied before each vertical plunge of the toolpath.

  • Additionally, the feedrate can be reduced as the tool approaches the groove walls by specifying a reduction distance and a reduction coefficient.
