Stock - Definition and Computing
The stock acts as the starting block in the manufacturing process. Before any toolpaths are created, it must be defined so as to represent the initial state of the material that will be machined to meet design specifications.
The stock allows GO2cam to:
Plan Machining Strategies: The software generates efficient toolpaths based on the stock shape, size, and material to ensure precise cuts and minimal material waste.
Simulate the Process: By defining stock, users can simulate how material will be removed, visualizing each stage to identify potential issues or areas where the machining might require adjustments.
Optimize Efficiency: Stock settings help users optimize cutting sequences, tool choices, and speeds, ensuring that the final part is produced as quickly and accurately as possible.
This chapter defines the Stock creation dialog, the display options related to it and the computing settings the user can define.
