Precautions of Full Denture


Workflow of Full Denture

The workflow of Full Denture is the same as other elements in Disk. However, to mill Full Denture needs to take some precautions.

Import of an STL file

  • Choose the type of element to be Denture

Precautions of Full Denture

Import of an STL file with CAD information

  • Full Denture stl must be imported with CAD information file, such as .constructioninfo file from EXOCAD and .pts file from 3Shape.

  • If we import Full Denture without CAD information file, a good result of production cannot be guaranteed.

Advantages of Full Denture with CAD information

  • With the CAD information file, we can automatically get the correct cavity margin line and axis.

  • A bigger offset area is also created to avoid tool shank collision during the production.

Denture option must be selected

  • If other types is selected all support will be rejected immediately

Orientation must be correct

  • The cavities must be towards Z+ axis on REFERENCE side. Otherwise the position and offset area can be wrong.
