List of commands

Comparison

Analysis of the remaining material between the machined stock and the part.

Milling / Turning

List of operations

The list of operations is the merge of several commands that were formerly in the toolbar. It is also exactly the same command as in the machining tree, in Machining / List of Operations

SIMPLE

This simplified list gives you general information about the operations: tool, tool #, cycle, machining set and few other information.

Milling / Turning / EDM

MACH. PLAN

This list gives you some information about the cycles workplanes operation by operation. You can also define new origin or change the origin coordinates.

Milling / Turning

TECHNO

Summary of the cutting conditions for each cycle programed ; you can also modify them, edit them in an editor or excel file.

Milling / Turning

TOOL

Names and characteristics of the tools used for the machining of the part. You can also launch an automatic numberizing of tools.

Milling / Turning

TIME

Calculation of the machining time for the whole part or cycle by cycle: the times are calculated according to the cutting conditions and some specific parameters defined in the machine file.

Milling / Turning

Optimization

Optimization of the cycles by tools or by planes.

Milling Only

SYNC

This list of cycles is useful in case of multiple turrets; turrets assignment, channels #, Main or Subspindle are given for each cycle.

Turning Only

Technology

EDM Cutting conditions.

EDM Only

Information

General information about the cutting operation, such as feed, machined length and machining time.

EDM Only

Estimation of Costs

Costing of a part can be evaluated through 3 items: Machine Cost, Material Cost, Tool Cost. Please read the details on dedicated page.

Milling / Turning

Optimization

Optimization of the cycles by tools or by planes.

Milling Only

Times Diagram

Tools and cycles times diagrams useful to optimize the total machining time.

Milling / Turning

Optimization

Day / night optimization, setting of stops etc.

EDM only

Standard Workshop Documents

Ability to edit and print workshop documents based on predefined templates. They can be generated in excel or PDF files.

Milling / Turning / EDM

User Workshop Documents

Creation and use of customized templates and sheets.

Discover this optional module here: User Workshop Document.

Milling / Turning / EDM

Copy of machining

Copy of cycles: this command is different from the other copy commands. The offset of the toolpath is respected.

Milling / EDM

Part Symmetry

This command creates a new part, which is the perfect symmetry of the current part (symmetry + cycles).

Discover this powerful function by clicking here!

Milling Only

Creation of component based on 2D or 3D element

This command, enables to create a symbol very quickly. You can click a solid to transform it in a symbol automatically. You can also click a 2D element, its length is recovered, and you need to define width and height values.

When you create a symbol from a wireframe element (a segment for instance), a solid is now created. This gives the ability to use the Control command and to get a polyhedron element for gouge check.

Milling / EDM

Transfer to Layout/Dimensioning

The turning part must be saved already. You have to fill the options and select the toolpath(s) you need. Then the transfer is done into the Layout/Dimension environment and the part is renamed. 3D layout is done automatically and the toolpaths are transformed into geometry.

More information are given in the FAQ page dedicated to Turning: FAQ > Turning

Turning only

You can create your own List of Operations, displaying only the information that you need, taken from the existing lists. The customization is done in Tools / Customize List of Operations.
