Test Collision with Part

Definition

This command enables to check collision between the tool and the part design.

Since version GO2cam 2026, this option is OFF by default.

Behaviour

  • With this option set to ON, if the toolpath completely crashes the part, it is not computed and the cycle has a warning status in the tree. There you can edit and modify the cycle.

  • But mainly, the option is dedicated to dynamic simulation; you can set off the gouge checking for the selected operation.

It can be useful in some cases, among them:

  • a threading operation designed on a cylinder: there would be too many collisions during simulation!

  • machining a hole with a larger drill; either to fix a design mistake or because the hole diameter is not functionaly critical. You can avoid unnecessary warnings by checking OFF this option.
