Presentation

The main purpose of this editor is to display the ISO program generated by GO2cam.

This is why we included new functions especially meant to ISO, such as comparison, motions research, ISO highlighting etc.

You can also find all the shortcuts and combinations available in the editor, useful to save a lot of time. Please read Editor Shortcuts.

New	Creation of a new file
Open	You can open a file already created. It is possible to open several files at the same time.
Save	To save the file already registered
Save As...	To save a new file or give a new name to a file
Compare & Exit Compare	Ability to compare 2 files. It can be very useful to compare ISO blocks between 2 types of cycles, or generated by 2 different post-processors. You can also recover a program from a CNC machine and compare it with the original GO2cam program.
Page Layout	Setting up of the page profile before printing
Print	To print the current file
Recent Files	It enables you to open the latest opened files
Exit	To close the editor

Undo	To cancel an action, you can do it several times.
Redo	You can call back what was cancelled by an 'Undo' action
Cut / Copy / Paste	You can cut or copy the selected lines, and paste them somewhere else in the file or in another file
Delete	To delete the lines selected
Delete special	To delete selected categories: Spaces, Empty Lines, Block number, Comment
Find	To search any type of character or word in the whole file or in a selected area.
Replace	To search any type of character or word and replace it by the character or word you enter in the dialogue. You can make it once or choose to apply it on the whole text.
Go To Line	Very useful option to go to the line you need, for this enter the number of the line (you can choose to display or not the numbers of lines in the menu 'Display')
Select All	To select the whole content of the file
Bookmark	To set/delete and navigate bookmarks

Display the lines	You can display the lines numbers
Fonts...	Choice of a different font
Change the display mode
Syntax Coloring	The whole file is highlighted, to point out some ISO codes, with various color conventions.

Find the small motions	Enter the distance needed and check if there are paths smaller than this value.
Status of program	You can get the details of the cycles with respect to each line (Tool change, Spindle speed, feed rate, etc.)

We can also configure the editor software for the NC output of a program. To do so:

In the Customization options, choose the .exe of your editor in the Editor Name field.
Open your editor in GO2cam either by going on Tools from the Text Menus then Editor.

Your NC codes will then open on your chosen editor.
