Flat Face Finish

GO2cam researches the topological areas where the slope is null, and apply a 2D pocket cycle to these areas.

Key Points

This cycle is a complement of cycles working on Z levels.

  • This finishing respects the Z allowances on the flat faces by applying the same allowance than the one defined in the previous cycle (roughing or finishing done before).

  • You have to avoid to apply this cycle before the complete machining of vertical faces, so that the milling cutter do not find too much material. Consequently, you have to program a roughing, a finishing or a 2D contouring before this cycle, to avoid breaking the tool or marking the vertical faces.
