Cycle: Z Level Grooving
Definition
Notion of deburring in the Z level groove.
Order of Passes
According to the width
The toolpath follows the width of groove in Z (1), then retract and one step in X (2), etc. |
According to the depth
The toolpath is similar to a deburring. The groove is machined in X to the total depth (1), then retract and one Z step (2), then machining again (3), etc. (4 & 5) |
2 parameters are linked to the deburring option (according to the depth):
Leadout Distance
This is the retract distance (2) between 2 deburring passes (1 & 3). |
Total retract depth
For deep groove, when the tool reaches this depth altitude (1), a complete retract is done (2), before going on the machining (3). |
