3X Constant Scallop

cbl481-20260225-110022.png

The 3-axis constant scallop is a new, multi-threaded cycle designed for equidistant finishing, delivering incredibly fast computing times and highly efficient machining results. Specifically intended for relatively regular-shaped parts, it generates tool paths parallel to a reference curve—which can be the machining area itself—throughout the entire operation. The cycle offers precise control, allowing you to define the specific order of passes and the offset direction as left, right, or both.

These new cycles identifiable by the blue 3x badge are part of an optional package for 3-axis milling.

Key Points

  • Superior Efficiency: Uses multi-threading for incredibly fast computation and optimized tool path execution.

  • Total Tool Control: Offers flexible settings for offset directions, pass orders, and safety parameters.

  • Uniform Surface Quality: Guarantees an even and consistent tool path distribution across the geometry.
