Definition
This function allows the management of the toolpath for pocket roughing cycles, whether to start from the edge of the profile or at the center. The three methods available are:
End by the sides |
Machining starts from the inside and moves towards the edge of the profile/pocket. |
Start by the sides |
Machining starts from the edge of the profile/pocket and moves towards the inside. |
Snail |
Machining start from the inside moving to the edge in a spiral pattern. This minimizes tool retracts. You can watch a video below showing the application of the snail method. |
