Definition

Definition of the facing toolpath strategy.

Three possibilities are offered:

• 2 directions

• 1 direction

• 2 directions + arc

2 directions The tool faces all the machining zone without retracting. The first pass is machined in a direction, the following pass is done in the other direction and so on.
1 direction The tool faces all the machining zone respecting the same direction. The tool retracts between each pass and comes back for the following pass in rapid speed. the retract is defined by the parameter Retract pt alt.
2 directions + arc The tool faces all the machining zone without retracting. The first pass is machined in a direction, the following pass is done in the other direction and so on. An arc is defined between two passes. Mode only available if the profile is open.
