Cycle: Contouring

Definition

Choice of the strategy of machining in case of selection of multiple contours. 3 possibilities are given:

By Profiles

  • The contours are machined one after another, this mode avoid too much rapids. The order of passes is shown by the numbers.

By Z levels

  • The machining is done by Z levels, 'jumping' from a contour to another.

By XY Area

  • The machining is done in the X and Y direction. The order of passes can be optimized using the lateral passes option.
