Probing - Strategy Parameters

Cycles: Alignment of Part, Origins on Stock, Control of the Part

Name of origin

Define an origin name for the probing cycle. Use the same origin name for other probing cycles to link the results for a single origin.

Approach distance (AD)

Defines the distance the probing tool keeps before starting the probing operation.

Number of touches

Defines the number of times the probing operation is repeated for a point to complete the probing of that point.

Touch distance (TD)

The distance from which the probe approaches the part at the required touch point.

Research length

This is the maximum distance the probe will move/travel to search for the contact point.

Mini measure Tolerance

Minimum allowed deviation from the nominal value during the probing process/ measurement.

Maxi measure Tolerance

Maximum allowed deviation from the nominal value during the probing process/ measurement.
